The atmosphere in the markets, schools and bookshops in the city of Ngaoundere leaves a hint of imminent back to school. At eighteen days of the beginning of the classes for kindergarten, elementary and secondary school students, the time is up to the last adjustments.

In Ngaoundere, street corners are crowded with school supplies and other teaching materials. Here, the street vendors who are recruited among young schoolchildren or not already rub their hands. The market, although still shy, already allows them to find their accounts. Throughout the day, they roam the nooks and crannies of neighborhoods in search of potential customers.

High-traffic venues such as the football stadiums that host the holiday championships held in the city also represent a potential market for the sale of merchandise. This usually consists of bags, binders and flasks for toddlers in kindergarten and SIL.

In the bookstores of the city, the managers are busy to make available to parents the program books and other materials for the success of children. Although some books are not yet available on the shelves because of their introduction to the program this year, orders have already been placed with publishers. The parents, while waiting for the salary of the month of August, have their eyes fixed on the calendar in order to proceed with the purchases of the necessities for the next school year. The shops are also busy with the outfits of the different establishments.
